I’ve always been a big fan of hip hop. One of my favorite music genre combinations is house and hip hop. No doubt, they’re closely tied together in regards to early influences and production techniques.

Here’s my house remix of Aesop Rock’s None Shall Pass. He’s one of my favorite lyricists. I started with just the acapella vocal track only. I sped it up a bit and created all of the music and arrangement myself. I think I did the original track justice and made it into a high energy danceable banger!

I decided to remix Depeche Mode’s Enjoy The Silence! Classic 80’s tune, ripe for a good remix. So here it is!

All I had to start with was the acapella. I built the entire track from scratch around the vocals. I did a little research on the key, melody and notes used and tried to keep the original feel and mood without changing things too much.
